The Voliro T can be configured to have various Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) sensor payloads. Once the pilot guides the flying robot to place the NDT sensor in contact with the surface, the inspector can view real-time measurement data via a tablet interface and store the measurements for review at a later time.
Some of the possible NDT use-cases with the Voliro T are:
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT) for flaw detection or thickness measurements of metals and composites
- A cutting-edge Electro Magnetic Acoustic Transducer (EMAT) for couplant-free thickness measurements of metallic surfaces that requires no surface preparation
- Precise coating thickness measurements with a Dry-Film Thickness (DFT) gauge
